Cape Fear Area Doulas: A local nonprofit organization and doula collective whose goal is to improve the birthing experiences for all families in the Cape Fear area through prenatal, labor, and postpartum support. CFAD periodically offers a needs-based Doula Support Scholarship where preference for awards for professional doula support is given to low-income families, single parents, and birthing people facing hardships.
CFAD also facilitates a monthly birth circle. The circle is a safe space where childbearing people can share about their birth experiences, connect with others in the same season of life, and support one another.
